Hi, you have reached my personal (as well as research) web page. Welcome! I am now a relevance scientist at the International Relevance Team, Applied Research, Yahoo! Inc. My work focuses on ranking algorithms of search results. Prior to Yahoo!, I was a software engineer at Google Beijing office. I obtained my Ph.D. degree at the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore, co-advised by Prof. Tat-Seng Chua and Prof. Min-Yen Kan. Particularly, I'm focusing on the intersection of information retrieval and natural language processing, called question answering, which aims to return the exact answers in response to users' queries. My PhD thesis is about precise passage retrieval for answering different types of questions, including definitional and factoid questions. |
